I have heard many moms through the years say, "My son is all boy!" But now it is different to experience it first hand. Liam's personality and "boyness" is really showing!
He loves to be outside.
He loves cars. Toy cars. Pictures of cars. Real cars. It doesn't matter. They all inspire the motor sound buzzing from his lips.
He stops what he is doing if he hears a car, truck or motorcycle go by; he is so fascinated.
He loves sticks. He picks them up, waves them around and breaks them (if his other hand is free and not holding a car.
He loves rocks. He picks them up and hands them to me. The bigger the better. He is quickly learning that some rocks are stuck in the ground and don't come up!
He loves to figure out how things work. He stayed at this gate quite a while pulling the peg in and out of the hole and opening and closing the gate.
He loves his Daddy! They read, wrestle, tickle, have pillow fights and make fun noises.
Daddy is even fun when he wakes him up from a nap! Boring ole Mommy just reaches in his crib and pulls him out. How unoriginal!
Liam took it upon himself to destroy his friend Maggie's pink birthday present wrapping.
He and buddy Micah sometimes push each other around.
He laughs at toots.
He loves to climb up and down stairs, so he always has scrapes on his legs from the concrete.
He loves to play, run and jump with the little Kenyan boys.
What a handful! But a joy. May the Lord help me and guide me as I care for this precious child of God.
This Papaw's heart is touched by this particular blog! Wish we could watch all these things first hand, but what a thrill to read and see the story of his little life unfolding on the blog. Thanks Julie and Logan for doing this for your family and friends. Papaw Bratvold
ReplyDeleteSweet little LIAM. Oh how we love his boyish ways! I can't wait for him to come run around the mountains and look at all the big trees in Portland!
