Here is our back door which is in the kitchen. It leads out to a little alley which leads to our washing machine. This is also the door we go out when we fetch rainwater, which we boil, cool, and then put through the filter you see here. That is the water we drink, brush our teeth with, and use to bathe Liam!

How do you gather the water? Is a big bucket outside all the time? Does it rain enough? How long does the purification take? Love you!
ReplyDeleteFirst thing in the morning we take a big pot out to the water tank. There is a little faucet you turn to get the water out. We boil and let it cool several hours to room temp. In the afternoon we pour it through the top. In the morning the top section is about half full, so it goes very slowly. But we have always had water!
